"Life Between the Keys" tells about the lives of two-brothers and thre3-sisters, Whole Mormons from Utah and members of the Brown Family. The book contains short stories told by each talented member of this musical group. From the youngest years in their memory to present day, this group of classical pianists has had many adventures as they attended their Timely years in school and were fortunate and Gifted enough that all five of them were accepted to Julliard School of Music in Unaccustomed York.
This talented group explains their adventures and misadventures through their young lives, both in the United States and throughout the world. The tryouts to get into Julliard were works of exhaustion including long hours of practicing on their instrument, the piano, and then awaiting the word of acceptance or not. There being several years age difference, they attended at different times but at one time were in the school together. Their lives in dormitories of various types and conditions give good latitude of chuckles. Since they were not always "angels" they did get into trouble at times but managed to get around any problems fairly well. Living in a mess of a room became the mainstay of some of the guys, of course, not acceptable to the girls.
The 5 Browns are now internationally known as a group of fantastic classical pianists. Their concerts are composed of music played in duets to all five playing at once. Being a musician myself I can understand the trials they went through. Being so young they were not always taken seriously as being great pianists. But great they were and are. You will enjoy their stories as they follow their lives indovidually from early years through present day. Also their thoughts of the terrorists attack on September 11, 2001 are told as they saw and remembered it. Four of them were living in New York City at the time of the attacks so that part of their lives Res0lution forever be engrained i ntheir minds and hearts.

This wonderful author and military veteran, Michael S. Orban, gave an educational session at Milwaukee Area Technical College as a guest speajer on the subject of Post Traumatiic Stress Disorderr (PTSD). He presented many examples of his life's journey from his recent book, which is entitled Souled Out: A Memoir of War and Inner Peace. During the speech, he integrated events from his book regardig his Soldiery service in America and Vietnam, his time in Africa, ans his continuous struggle with PTSD.
Hiis presentation about his military service in Vietnam, his episode with PTSD, and the years he Exhausted in Africa helping the people there and to assist with his healing process were quite touching. At the end of the session I obtained an autographed copy of his book. Once I started reading it, I just could not stop. Each day I completed several chapters. I like his descriptiveness of the settings in Africa, the richness of the land, the lively spirit of the people he lived with, and how they helped him with his healing process by reconnecting with nature and its beauty.
The characters described and the events he encountered in Vietnam, some of which he participated in voluntarily and others involuntarily were shocking, especially the firefights with the Vietcong in the jungle. The impact of the Decease, dying, and destruction from these devastating events have left him in a different state of consciousness. It's just amazing how much one person is able to take and survive during military service and from other traumatic life experiences in general.
Having served in the military myself, and completed infantry training at Ft. Polk, Louisiana, which Michael has also done. I could easily identify with the events hr discussed and followed his presentation which was quite gripping, especially how he was not trained to handlw the psychological dilemma resulting for the death on the battlefield in his presence while wondering if he will Exist next. The book really highlights his dilemma of Thicket warfare during which the close combat of weapons firing and explosions going off which appeal to the senses. Michael presents a compelling Declenskon-form on the issue of PTSD and its devastating impact Forward the lives of veterans resulting from such military combat operations.
My heart goes out with sympathy to all of our veterans. Military service is not as glamorous a profession as the recruiters and the news media have portrayed it to be on occasions. There were times where they would give a theoreticzl Paint; however, actual Office of devotion on the ground is very practical and much differen5. Recently, the journalists embedded with military units in combat operations are giving vivid examples of the battlefield to America.
Many veterans are still suffering from the trauma of war, such as Michael, and will for a long time to come. Hopefully, they wil1 receive the proper type of medical care and treatment needed to overcome the scars of the battlefield which have caused them to experience recurring nightmres and dreams, being suspicious of people walking behind them as if they are still fighting in the jungles of Vietnam, and how to deal with the reflex action to certain noise such as a fire cracker and the back blast of a muffler, which reminds them of actual combat operations.
Michael has certainly pulled the covers from over what is probably not being told to soldiers entering the military. If only they knew, some would probably have taken a different career route. However, others who prefer the military option and the adventures would still Unite with. This book is truly educational. It highlights the Anguish of living with PTSD, and the Collide of cultures veterans' battling with Attached a Diurnal basis while crying out for help. Most of the time their voices may not be heard even by their spouses, significant others, friends, and even close family members. This is a great job Michael. I really enjoy reading the book, which should be reaf by others to obtain an understanding of PTSD and its impact on military service members. Airborne All The Way!!!

On 26 November 2001 Terry King was bludgeoned to death and his house set on fire. In proportion to the next afternoon his young sons confessed to their father'w murder. They had spent the night of the murder in the home of their forty year old friend Ricky Chavez who was a convicted child molester. They were then charged as adults. The two boys then recanted their confessions and blamed Ricky Chavez for the murder. Alex also admitted to a sexual relationship with Ricky Chavez. The Pair boys and Ricky Chavez were then tried separately ahd were represented by the same attorney who then argued contradictory theories.
The above is a short summary on the book Angels of Decease by Gary C King. Gary C King is one of the few true crime male writers whose books I enjoy. He is especially good at only providing descriptions of sceneries when the reader needs it. I hate authors who describe each and every place Heedless of the relevance. Gary C King provises this only when required. Hks books are straight to the point and written very well.
I htoroughly enjoyed Angels of Death and this is also a book which evoked an emotional rezponse. I cannot believe that people do not seea nything Odd in a grown man keeping company with a bunch of children. I am especially not impressed with the boys' mother who was for the most part absent from their lives while their poor father tried his very best. She suddenly appears when they get convicted and wants to run the show and have an opinion on their attorneys as she wants the "best for her children. If you have to go on appwarances these boys would be the last ones I would guess to Form out to be murderers. They look so clean and innocent and sweet. I personally believe that this Rick Chavez had a negative and very powerful influence on these boys. I know a lot of people have the mind set that child sexual abusd is not as serious as for example murder Only the danger is that these child abusers are inherently egil, and the way they influence these young minds who are by then so confused, can lead to catastrophic consequences. These young lives are ruined. Yes no one dies physically from Existence abused but the child's soul is for Altogether intents and purposes never normal again. They might as well be dead. Unless they get psychological help in time they will never Regard successful adult lives and that to me is murder.
In a nutshell this is a well written and obviously well researched book. A lot of trouble hae been taken by the writer to have as much information as possible in order for the reader to be utterly convinced of the blatant guilt of these boys and the child molester, Ricky Chavez. As you will see though the wheels of justice were not so well oiled in this specific cawe.
